Who is behind Yerbu?
Yerbu is developed by Norsk Test AS, a Norwegian company with over 30 years of experience in digital testing and certification. We have over 350 test centres in Norway and manage solutions for the Norwegian Police, the Norwegian Maritime Authority, FinAut, DSA and the Norwegian Football Federation. Yerbu is our next-generation platform, built on this professional foundation.
Who is Yerbu for?
Yerbu is designed for organisations with high demands on competence measurement – typically industry associations, public sector, financial institutions and training providers. The platform suits everything from industry-standard certifications to internal training and authorisation schemes.

What question types does Yerbu support?
Yerbu supports single choice, multiple choice, true/false, matching, drag and drop and hotspot. Questions can be enriched with images and video. The platform also has AI support for generating and improving questions, adjusting difficulty and suggesting distractors.
What is a subject plan, and why do I need one?
A subject plan is the structure that links topics, learning objectives and competence requirements to questions and assessments. It makes it easier to ensure correct subject coverage, track quality over time and document what the assessment actually measures – essential for serious certification schemes.
What analytics do I get access to?
Yerbu offers a wide range of analytics, including difficulty and answer distribution per question, discrimination and correlation, reliability analysis (Cronbach's alpha) and IRT analyses (coming with adaptive testing). The AI assistant can help interpret results and identify low-quality questions.
What is Yerbu Live?
Yerbu Live is our module for secure remote examination with video monitoring and identity verification. It enables certifications to be conducted digitally without physical attendance, with controlled and documented delivery.
What is Yerbu siQR?
Yerbu siQR is a module for digital certificates and competence credentials. The credentials are verifiable via QR code, making it easy for employers and others to confirm the validity of a certificate.
Is adaptive testing support coming?
Yes. Adaptive testing is planned for winter 2027. Adaptive assessments adjust the difficulty level as the candidate progresses, resulting in shorter tests, more precise measurements and a better candidate experience.

Is Yerbu GDPR-compliant?
Yes. Yerbu is developed in Norway and operated on European servers. All data is stored and processed in accordance with GDPR and applicable EU requirements. A full Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is available for all customers.
Where is data stored?
All data is stored on EU-based servers. No data is transferred to countries outside the EEA without explicit agreement and the necessary safeguards under GDPR.
How do you prevent cheating during assessments?
Yerbu has built-in measures such as randomised question order, random draw from question banks and time limits. For high-stakes certifications, Yerbu Live offers video monitoring and identity verification during the assessment.

Pricing & getting started

Is there a trial period?
Yes. We offer a 45-day pilot package that includes 200 test sessions, 1 administrator, 1 subject plan, 1 assessment and AI tools at basic level. This gives you the opportunity to test the platform with real content before committing.
What happens after the pilot period?
After the pilot period, you choose the package that fits best – Start, Standard, Professional or Enterprise. We help you find the right plan based on the number of sessions, administrators and modules you need.
Can I upgrade my plan at any time?
Yes, you can upgrade to a higher plan at any time. Contact us and we will manage the transition to minimise disruption to your organisation.
What is included in onboarding?
All packages include personal follow-up from our team. We help you set up your subject plan, import existing questions and train administrators, so you are ready to run your first assessment as quickly as possible.
Do you offer integrations with other systems?
API and integrations are available in the Enterprise package. Contact us to discuss your needs – we have experience with integrations with LMS systems, HR systems and candidate registries.
